Welcome to “What the Fuck Week”

Exposing the Big Game

What the fuck’s going on with humans’ cruel and sadistic treatment of animals these days? Has the world of man gone completely mad?

If you have the feeling there’s a kind of quickening—an acceleration of human evil—happening lately, you’re not alone. I’ve noticed it for a while now. From Sears carrying “I love wolf hunting” T-shirts to the Wildlife Services round up and gassing Canada geese, so many bizarre, shocking and downright malevolent deeds have come to light in the past few days that I hereby declare this “What the Fuck Week.” (WTFW will run from now until further notice.)

Early last evening the warm autumn air brought out a hatch of flying termites. Clumsy in flight, they lose their wings shortly after finding a suitable log or house to bore into. An entire industry was built around trying to exterminate them, when nature has long held the key to…

10 Photos That Will Make You Never Want To Buy Palm Oil Ever Again

Our Compass

Source:Rainforest Action Network

Every day the rainforests that endangered Borneo Orangutans depend on for their survival are destroyed to make way for palm plantations.

We just posted a photo essay of an orangutan rescue in an area being cleared by a company called PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro (PT BGA) in West Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. Please share the post or simply forward this email around to your friends and family. And if you want to do even more to stop the deaths of endangered orangutans for palm oil, join RAN’s Palm Oil Action Team.

Please remember to avoid palm oil; when grocery shopping, check the ingredient label and refuse to buy anything that contains palm oil.

Please note: Some of these pictures are fairly graphic and might be hard to look at. The orangutan is stunned though, not dead. Still, these photos tell a story that…

Story : Love is not Hoping… It’s Deciding and Doing

While waiting to pick up a friend at the airport in Portland, Oregon, I had one of those life-changing experiences that you hear other people talk about — the kind that sneaks up on you unexpectedly. This one occurred a mere two feet away from me.

Straining to locate my friend among the passengers deplaning through the jet way, I noticed a man coming toward me carrying two light bags. He stopped right next to me to greet his family.

First he motioned to his youngest son (maybe six years old) as he laid down his bags. They gave each other a long, loving hug. As they separated enough to look in each other’s face, I heard the father say, “It’s so good to see you, son. I missed you so much!” His son smiled somewhat shyly, averted his eyes and replied softly, “Me, too, Dad!”

Then the man stood…

Hello vegan, are you being counted?

Of Course Vegan

A new initiative by vegan blogger Holly Piggot is getting a lot of media attention over the past 48 hours after she announced a plan to count international vegans and map out demographics of the cruelty-free society that exists in today’s world. Dubbed the “Big Count Survey,” Piggot hopes to get information on vegans worldwide in order to help deliver better statistics.

While the survey is in no way scientific or all-inclusive, it is a great initiative that will help do some mapping out of where vegans, especially those active online, live and work.

Now, Piggot, the creator of @TheAllAnimalVegan blog is attempting to track international vegan statistics through her online survey The Big Count.

The London-based animal lover not only aims to count the international vegan population, but she’s also attempting to map out the group’s age, gender, and geographic location demographics, as well as find out what the…

Third Fur Farm Raid in One Month: 2,000 Mink Released in Illinois

Earth First! Newswire

by Peter Young / Animal Liberation Frontline

Local media is reporting 2,000 mink were released on August 14th from a fur farm in Morris, Illinois. Police state they received a call at 5am on August 14th from the farm owned by Bob Dodeghero. 2,000 mink had been released, two trucks had been doused with paint stripper, and a barn had been spray painted with “Liberation is love.”

The farm is one of the smallest mink farms in the country. A farm of its size (as shown in the photo below) is typical of a farm that can hold somewhere in the range of 2,000 animals, making it likely that every animal was freed.

The ALF’s “freedom summer” continues

This is the 6th major US action of the summer, which has seen a horse slaughterhouse arson, two releases of birds from game farms, and three releases of animals from fur farms.

“A Lotus Grows in the Mud” – Goldie Hawn

Today, as I read through my WordPress Reader Feed, I saw Deo’s post: “Favorite Inspirational Quote on Perseverance by Goldie Hawn”  As I read the first quote, I was reminded of a book I had read back in 2006 by Goldie entitled A Lotus Grows in the Mud.  I had read her book during a very dark time in my life  and I have to say, reading about her life’s journey as well as her ability to stand in the face of adversity while holding her head high,  gave me much hope and inspiration.  Towards the end of the book, Goldie explains the title of her book, which is essentially what is written below.  If you haven’t read her book, I highly recommend you pick up a copy and no, you cannot have mine.

“The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud — the obstacles of life and its suffering. … The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. … Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lotus and open each petal one by one. ”  – Goldie Hawn.

Deo, thank you for reminding me of such an amazingly inspirational woman!

“Killer” thinks I’m an alcoholic! LMFAO!!!!!

I love it when hunters stop by my blog to let me know how much they hate me because I am the voice of the voiceless.  “Killer”, as he (or she) likes to refer to himself is a hunter — he is pro-killing of animals.  He (or she) likes to lurk and comment on a fellow bloggers site:  Exposing the Big Game.   Evidently, Killer” thinks I am an alcoholic. LMFAO!!!!   I am not really sure how Killer surmised I am an alcoholic.  I guess he just didn’t get that the reason I am in therapy is because I was married to a pathological lying, cheating, narcissist — but no matter.  It’s all good.  I love it when hunters sling insults at me because it let’s me know I am getting to them.

This is what Killer had to say. Now I know I shouldn’t feed the Trolls but this is just too good to not share with my fellow animal rights bloggers.

So you are an alcoholic. That explains a lot. That explains why you are so conflicted, dishonest and angry. You need way more time with your therapist. I hope I see you around, then I can LMAO. Love and kisses, “BEAUTIFUL”

Based on my blog’s stats, Killer lives in Pleasant Hill, California and his ISP provider is Comcast. It would seem Killer has been lurking on my blog for some time now, well at least since August 17.

Everyone, let’s give Killer a big Dating Game sloppy wet kiss: SMOOOOOOOOCH!!!!!!

The Elephant in Times Square

In 10 years, that’s right TEN YEARS elephants will be extinct. So what are you going to do about it? How about this, sell your f*cking Coach Bag and donate the $$$ to The Elephant in Times Square” cause.

Fight for Rhinos

*There are 100 elephants killed  for their meat and ivory.

* 2 rhino are killed for their horn (a lesser amount due to the lesser population). A rate that has increased an unimaginable 3,336% in 4 years!

Poaching is killing not just our animals, but our economies and through vast criminal networking-our people. Poaching is not just the deed taken on by the poor man, but terrorist groups, using the funds of the ivory and horn for their darker cause, making the illegal wildlife trade the fourth most lucrative global criminal activity.

This is a global issue needing IMMEDIATE attention from our people, and immediate action from our governments.

Therefore one of the biggest global issues of our time, concerning the biggest land mammal should have the biggest platform…Times Square in New York.

The advocacy group March for Elephants  envisioned a billboard in Times Square to bring…

Cows Overjoyed to See Grass

Urban Hermits

This video was posted on Youtube by a small family run dairy farm in Gloucestershire, England. These cows are so excited to be let out of their holding after a long winter that they literally frolic out into the pasture. This should an insight that animals feel the same stress of being pent-up as we do. For those who consume dairy or beef, please conscientious of where your produce comes from, how the cows have been cared for, whether they are in confines, the amount of produce they are forced to create, and their general welfare.

Here is a link to the ASPCA’s fight on farm animal cruelty, covering major issues with cow factory farms.

Circus Lion Attacks LionTamer

This is exactly the reason why animals should not be used for entertainment. These majestic animals were meant to be wandering the Serengeti, not performing stupid pet tricks for an audience full of humans.  Unlike this blogger (who turned me onto this story), I sincerely hope that lion FUBARed (for those of you not in the know, FUBAR means: Fucked up Beyond All Recognition)  the lion tamer –“tamer” – sha! what a joke!

Personally, I’d pay top dollar to watch a pack of lions rip circus “lion tamers” to fucking shreds!  Now that’s what I call entertainment.

Lion – 1

Tamer – fucking ZERO!!!!

Wolf advocates post how-to manual for saboteurs

Exposing the Big Game

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Environmentalists upset with a federal proposal to remove protections for wolves across most of the U.S. have posted a manual on how to disrupt wolf hunts and sabotage traps.

The 12-page manual published online Monday by Earth First! tells would-be saboteurs that Internet activism alone can leave activists with an empty feeling, so “why not try direct action?”

The manual instructs how to find traps and take them out by destroying or hiding them. It also instructs how to release a trapped wolf, noting that doing so is very dangerous, and suggests forming blockades where wolf permits are sold and walking ahead of hunters with air horns.

Earth First! Media spokesman Grayson Flory said his organization published the manual written by a group calling themselves the “Redneck Wolf Lovin’ Brigade.” The impetus was the Obama administration’s announcement in June that it plans to end Endangered…

There are better ways to control North America’s wolf populations than removing wildlife protections and permitting hunting

by Joseph Mayton www.theguardian.com,

Wednesday 14 August 2013

They encroach on natural habitats, kill wildlife and destroy native landscapes.

While this is, in many ways, the modus operendi of human populations, it is the excuse now being given by the US Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) in its call on the federal government to remove the gray wolf from endangered species lists. All for the purpose of using human “ingenuity” (read: guns) to help reduce the population to a more “manageable” level.

Activists are beginning to take to the social media networks in calling for the government to not slaughter wolves. One petition, began last week, has already garnered several thousand signatures en route to its 10,000 goal.

With thousands of wolves across the country struggling to survive after…
