Boston is on Lock Down Today

If you are following the news here in Boston, then you know one of the two Boston Marathon bombing suspects has been shot and killed (suspect #1) and suspect #2 is on the lam (turns out they are brothers from Russia).  The city of Boston is on lock down.  All forms of transportation have been closed.  My employer has ordered all non-Boston-based employees to work from home.

This whole thing seems so surreal — I cannot even believe this is happening.

It really puts life into perspective, doesn’t it?

  1. Wow. My ex and my two sons were visiting Boston Wednesday and Thursday, seeing the sites, and came back last night. Looks like they returned at the right time! Yikes!

    • Boy did they ever. I’m glad they are safe!

I woke up at 4:30 this morning to NPR stating that the city was on lock down.

Have you been following the news? It is just unbelievable!

  2. I just heard that they found #2, so hopefully it’s over now. Huffington Post is shamefully gloating about it. Like this wasn’t ugly enough.

Glad you weren’t caught in the city when it went down.

    • Thanks — me too. That would have been a long day at work had I made it into the city before the lock-down.

I feel like all the news sources are gloating. It is unbelievable. Even NPR is milking the story. I hate the media.
